Coach Scott Chadwick
Scott Chadwick just completed his 6th season as the Head Football Coach at Myers Park High School in Charlotte, NC and his 20th overall season as a Head Coach. In 2017, he led the Mustangs to a school record 12 wins, finishing 12-2 and appearing in the NC 4AA state quarterfinals. The Mustangs won a share of the Southwestern 4A Conference Championship for the first time in 34 years. In 2016, Myers Park finished 11-2 record, tying a school record for wins.
Chadwick is a proven builder of high school programs. He previously led Marvin Ridge High School in Waxhaw, NC to 41 wins over 5 years. In 4 years at Lackey High School, in Indian Head, MD, he led the Chargers to two state title appearances. The 2003 season was the Chargers first playoff win in 17 years. At Bowie HS, in Bowie, MD, Chadwick led the Bulldogs to the 2001 MD 4A State Championship. Prior to his arrival at Bowie, the Bulldogs had 10 straight losing seasons.
A highly respected developer of quarterbacks, Coach Chadwick’s last 4 starting quarterbacks have gone on to Division 1 schools and each quarterback led his respective conference in passing yards.
Coach Chadwick’s awards include several conference and area Coach of the Year awards, being the Nike MD state Coach of the Year, 2 NFL Coach of the Week Awards and finally, being selected as the 2010 Carolina Panthers High School Coach of the Year.
Scott lives in Waxhaw, NC, with his wife, Beth. His son, Tyler is an assistant football coach at Coastal Carolina University, where he played quarterback and was a team captain and standout on the Chanticleers 2016 National Championship Baseball team. His son, Cody is a student at Cape Fear College in Wilmington and his daughter, Madison is a senior captain of the cheerleading team at Myers Park.
